Pollination sculpture for Gallery Heronswood

Pollination sculpture by Kate Rohde

Commissioned by The Diggers Foundation as a homage to plants, pollinators and seeds, this glorious creative work by resin artist Kate Rohde was three years in the making.

The spectacular sculpture is the culmination of extensive research and visits to explore the gardens at Heronswood to observe the life cycle of plants. Kate’s phenomenal three metre artistic interpretation of the giant Titan Lily (Amorphophallus titanium) provides an inspiring insight into the world of plant reproduction.

On public display for visitors to Gallery Heronswood the pollination sculpture is a wonderful educative tool designed to engage the gardening public in the wonders of nature and show the many different ways plants offer food to animals in exchange for their fertilising services.
