Japanese Raisin Tree
Tolerant of a range of conditions, trees do best when planted in a soil enriched with compost and well-rotted manure. Stake at planting support the tree as the roots establish. Avoid waterlogged soils and water regularly when conditions are dry. Fruiting best in full sun, although plants will tolerate some shade. Apply compost each year in spring. Harvest the swollen stems when the actual fruit browns off.
